Peter McIntyre | BAppSci (Phys), Men’s Health, MAPA
Peter McIntyre graduated from Sydney University in 1990 with A Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy, initially being employed with NSW Health in the public hospital system and moving into private practice at Thirroul Physiotherapy in 1993.
Peter has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries having completed post-graduate courses with
Sport Medicine Australia, the Australian Physiotherapy Association, University of California San Diego, University of Florida, Newcastle University, National Rugby League and Australia Institute of Sport.
Completing qualifications in men’s health assessment and treatment in 2014, including pre and post prostate surgery, Peter has been using real time ultrasound to assist these patients’ recovery from pelvic floor dysfunction and urinary incontinence.
Professional sports interests include rugby league, soccer, cycling, motorcycle racing, snow skiing and boarding, surfing and ballet dancing. Peter is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and a life member of the Thirroul Butchers Rugby League Football Club.

Stephanie Holroyd | B.Phys, APAM
Stephanie completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Newcastle University in 2012. Stephanie has worked in the private practice settings since graduating and is dedicated to delivering quality care and treatment to all age groups.
Stephanie has special interest in sports injuries and has completed further study through the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Sports Medicine Australia. Completed courses include Lyn Watson Shoulder Course Level 1, Segmental and Dry Needling, Sports Level 1 and 2, Upper and Lower Limb Casting and McKenzie Level 1.
Along with Stephanie’s interest in Sports Physiotherapy she has also undergone post graduate study through Monash University in the area of Paediatrics. Stephanie is qualified in treating newborns through to young adults in acute, chronic and complex injuries.
Most recently Stephanie has completed qualifications in Women’s Health assessment and treatment. This includes pre/post-partum assessments and return to sport programs, recovery of pelvic floor dysfunction and urinary incontinence.
Stephanie is able to perform Pre- Pointe assessments and Dance Screenings. Stephanie is competent in Vestibular Assessments and retraining including treatment of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, Horizontal Canalisthesis and problems with dizziness.
As a practitioner, Stephanie is dedicated to providing current evidence based practice, ensuring that every client is treated optimally for their condition.

Jayd Djakovic
Jayd graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor in Exercise Science from the University of Wollongong, he then went on to completing his Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney graduating in 2018.
During his undergraduate degree he was involved with the St George Illawarra Dragons undertaking a 3 year internship in load management and strength and conditioning with the 1st grade NRL team. Since joining the team at the end of 2018 he has shown a keen interest in sports related injuries as well as the general population seeing a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
Jayd has undertaken further study completing his NRL level 1 Sports Trainer helping with the Thirroul Butchers rugby league club. He has also completed his work cover training gaining certification earlier this year.
Jayd thoroughly enjoys playing soccer on his weekends, therefore having a great patient understanding to return to activity and the importance of remaining injury free. He attends the gym regularly and you will find him most afternoons taking his best friend for a run (his dog) after work.
Jayd thoroughly enjoys engaging with his patients and treating everyone as an individual. He is committed to providing the most up to date evidence based practice to ensure optimum recovery post injury and ensuring each patient reaches their goal.
Exercise Physiologists

Shauna Downes | BScExSciRehab, ESSAM
Shauna has been working as an Exercise Physiologist for the past seven years around the Illawarra region. Shauna graduated from the University of Wollongong in 2011 with a distinction average in Bachelor of Exercises Science.
Since graduating Shauna has gone on to further her education and keep up to date with all aspects of the exercise physiology domain. In 2003 Shauna completed her Level 2 Pilates instructing course through the Australian Pilates Method Association and has since been implementing this modality to successfully treat her patients. Shauna is passionate about Pilates and this is evident as she is not only a council member but also a secretary of the Australian Pilates Method Association.
Shauna has extensive experience in multiple settings which include working with post surgical orthopaedic patients in hospitals and the general public in private practice. Her specialities involve, exercise prescription for back pain, hip pain, knee pain and falls prevention programs.

Maniso Micheal | BExSc, MClinicalExPhys, ESSAM AEP AES
Maniso is an ESSA accredited Exercise Physiologist. She graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Exercise Science (2015) and a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology (2017) with Distinction.
Maniso has experience in multiple settings, which include working with clients in a cardiac and pulmonary setting, in a private setting with those who present with musculoskeletal concerns, in addition to working in the aged care sector, specifically falls prevention.
Maniso has her Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness from Loftus Tafe (2015), as well as her Certificate 4 in Massage (2010) and Diploma of Remedial Massage (2011) from Shellharbour TAFE.
Maniso is Australian Pilates Method (APMA) trained and is registered with Work Cover and Medicare.

Corrin Jordan | BExSpSci and MClinicalExPhys, ESSAM AEP AES
Corrin is an ESSA accredited Exercise Physiologist. She graduated in 2012 from University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and has a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Charles Sturt University. Corrin is an asset to our team specialising in many different fields including:

- Hip, knee and ankle rehabilitation
- Mental health
- Strength training
- Hydrotherapy
- Weight loss
- Falls prevention
Corrin has provided her services in many different settings including private practise, hospital wards and the Australian Defence Force.
Massage therapists

Maniso Micheal | DipRemMass
Maniso has been working as a Remedial Massage Therapist since 2012 at Thirroul Physiotherapy. She has attained her Certificate 4 in Massage (2010) and Diploma of Remedial Massage (2011) from Shellharbour TAFE.
Maniso has experience with the use of techniques including and not limited to deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, pregnancy massage and relaxation Swedish massage.
